This year, we’re going bigger than ever! The International Pet Appreciation Celebration is expanding from a one-month event to a three-month global movement, running from March 20 to June 20. This extended timeline gives animal lovers everywhere even more opportunities to organize, participate, and spread the message of compassion for our beloved furry friends and family members.
With this international outpouring of love, we are demanding an end to the horrific Yulin dog meat “festival” (occurring on June 21) and the cruel dog and cat meat trade. Let’s show the world that dogs and cats are family, not food.
Join the Global Celebration
From March 20 to June 20, volunteer-driven dog parties, outreach events, appreciation gatherings will take place in communities across the globe. And we need your help to make it happen!
Organize an International Pet Appreciation Celebration in Your Community
We are calling on all animal advocates to step up and organize an event in their area. Whether big or small, every gathering contributes to this important movement. And the best part? It’s easier than you think!
There are lots of possibilities for events:
Host a dog party in your own yard
Host a dog party at a local park or dog park
Collaborate with your local animal shelter or rescue organization - ask if they’d like to host an International Pet Appreciation Celebration Adoption Day!
Collaborate with a pet supply store
Collaborate with a veterinarian clinic
Or host an outreach event at any other creative, pet-friendly location!
All it takes is 10 or more passionate individuals coming together to make a difference.
